De Boer Staal has had a professional and fruitful relationship for many years with Tata Steel, Europe's second largest steel producer. Tata Steel International Benelux, which is housed in Maastricht, has changed name on a few occasions over the years: British Steel was transformed into Corus, and Corus became Tata Steel on 27 September 2010.

The people working for both companies keep the relationship harmonious. They are the constant factor underlying the success. Arnaud, Uwe, Irma, Debby, Ronald and Mark of De Boer Staal pilot the Tata Steel staff through the Dutch world of steel and shipbuilding. In turn, Richard, Hilde, Bart, Louis, Roberto and Suzanne guide De Boer Staal around the world of Tata Steel. The good mutual contacts mean that De Boer Staal is on Tata Steel Europe's top-20 supplier list. Both companies aim to keep things this way. The deal arranged recently involving De Boer Staal, Tata Steel and a major Dutch shipbuilder is a good example of this.
